LATER NAUMANN EDITIONS IN GERMAN
This bibliography continues, where
Schaberg ended: the first reprints made by Naumann of titles sold out. Soon thereafter the idea developed
to publish Collected Works. Quite a number of editors have been appointed and
fired in the years between 1893 and 1906 on this project, which was resumed
several times. Editions were small (most often 1000 copies) until the release
of the Taschenauflage (10.000 copies per volume) in 1906. In those years Einzelauflagen were
published as well. Werke and Einzelauflage editions are sequentially numbered
however, only taking into account the year of publication. The only original
documentation presently available (Auflagenbuch,
GSA72/2841) lists all those printings by year, also not contributing to a
clear picture of what was published in the years of our scope. From a
scholarly point of view the editions in Fraktur are less interesting, and
thus not included here. The remaining
editions in Antiqua consist of: In all title descriptions: Author: Friedrich Nietzsche. Binding: Publishers half leather by Hübel & Denck or grey
wrappers printed in black. WERKE
